This is for everyone. The people that know me, and the ones who don’t. I’m sharing myself in a new way. Here are 30 Random Facts About Me…
- I don’t know how to skate–I know, I’m a terrible Canadian.
- My hair used to be straight. Its hard to believe when you look at me now, but before puberty hit, I had really straight hair
- I taught Sunday school for four years. People are surprised when I tell them this, as religion isn’t a part of my life anymore, and I also don’t like children! Anyways, I grew up Lutheran, and because I was so into theatre, I was asked to help teach
- I have size 10 feet, (another surprising fact for people), maybe because I’m only 5’6. Also! My feet are completely flat, I have no arch.
- I have broken BOTH my collarbones. First time, I was “accidentally” knocked down the stairs when I was four (thanks Mom!), and the second time, I fell off a bench in high school. The second break was the worst one, it never fully healed, so I have a pretty cool looking bump
- I can jump horses. Other than dogs, horses are my favourite animal, and for around seven years I went to an equestrian camp every summer
- I HATE tea. I’m a coffee drinker all the way! If I wanted to drink wet leaves, I’d just go to a swamp, thanks
- My favourite colour is BLUE
- I’m a pretty good rapper if I do say so myself. I’ve always been a huge fan of Hip-Hop, Rap, and R&B.
- I don’t really have a sweet tooth, and I don’t like chocolate. When I was a kid I ate sweets, but gradually I didn’t enjoy them anymore. I also get instantly nauseous by the smell of chocolate. Weird, I know.
- I was kicked out of Theatre School. Maybe I should do a full post on this? Let me know.
- After I was “kicked out”, I did finish a degree in Theatre & Performance from the University of Waterloo
- My favourite cuisine is Mexican
- I’ve been mistaken for Miley Cyrus (or people say I look/sound like her) many times. I don’t see it
- I was super obsessed with CSI when I was younger. Do you remember when they would do non-stop episodes of CSI: Miami?! That shit was my weekend jam; and for someone who hates getting my hands dirty, I so wanted to be one of them
- I’m a morning person. I like to get up between 6:00-6:30am. I like going to the gym at this time, and love the feeling of being ready, and prepped for the day ahead
- I have three scars, and they’re all on my face. Under my eyebrow, side of my nose, and one on my chin. The first two are from when I slipped on the stairs (at Church, thanks God…) and smashed my face into the iron railings. Last one is from when my dog was a puppy, we were playing under a blanket, and his tooth nicked me in the chin. I used to be very self-conscious about them, but they all have been there for forever, so I just see them as a part of my face now
- I have a German & English background
- I don’t follow any sports. I have never been interested, nor cared
- I’ve always loved fashion. I actually wanted to be a fashion designer when I was younger, but sucked at drawing
- I love spicy food, yum!
- I would love to live in Italy one day. Ever since I visited Italy few years ago, I felt such a strong pull and affinity for the country. I love how gorgeous it is every way you turn, and of course the food is incredible!
- I love cleaning and organizing. I just feel way more relaxed when everything is in its place
- I’m a very honest person. Is my Scorpio showing?
- I get serious deja vu/visions, don’t really know what to call them…even though I’m skeptical about these sort of things, I’ve had these “visions” from a very young age. The easiest/quickest way to explain it is this: I have dreams every night where I see someone I know/don’t know in an outfit, or having a conversation (which hasn’t happened yet), and I see it happen the next day. Would love to know your thoughts on this!
- I am named after a literary/movie character. The Thorn Birds by Colleen McCullough takes place on a farm in the Australian outback, and spans a multiple decade long romance between the young farmers daughter, and the local priest (scandalous, I know!). You should definitely read it if you haven’t, or you can watch the mini-series that was done in the 80’s. I love it, but I must warn you, its REAL cheesy. I am named after the farmers daughter “Meggie”, who gets called “Meghan” by the buff sheep shearer, she tells him she hates that name, but my Mom loved it, so there ya go!
- I still use a paper notebook, and agenda. I love to write everything down, and physically be able to check things off
- I was a dancer for twelve years. I pretty much did everything from Ballet, to Hip-Hop. I used to compete as well, but my last competition was cut short due to tearing ligaments in my foot, and dislocating my heel. You can still find me dancing most of the time though!
- My favourite scent is cracked black pepper, my least favourite scent (other than chocolate) is lavender
- I friggin love breakfast. I don’t know how people can skip it–girl, I wake up hungry!
