Finding your perfect foundation match is hard. Your body is often a different shade than your face, then there is figuring out your undertones, and even seasons changing can have you guessing which colour is best suited to you.
I don’t know about you, but I HATE colour matching in stores. Especially drugstores where often there aren’t testers, and you have to take a wild guess on what your shade is–but what if I told you that you could sit on your computer/phone, read this blog, AND find your perfect foundation?! It’s true!
I discovered this very secretive method on accident. Over a year ago I asked Google a question. “What shade would I be in ______ foundation?” I was hoping some blogger did a review on it, who was a similar skin tone to me. What I found was even better…introducing Foundation for Dummies, findation.com.
This glorious website gives you your shade in any foundation before you make a purchase. Heres how it works.
- Enter a brand of foundation and shade that you already use and like. They recommend providing around three different examples for accuracy.
- When you click “find my matches”, it will automatically list comparable foundations from other brands. They also have a feature (which is what I mostly use) that allows you to choose a specific brands foundation.
- You got yourself a match!
I am actually low-key offended that none of you bloggers/makeup fanatics like myself told me about this before. It would have saved me a lot of time and money, but I have taken it upon myself to spread the word and help you all!
